The short answer: there's no single "best" brand. There's only the brand that doesn't make you want to throw your phone across the factory floor when something breaks.
Here's the deal. You've got two broad categories, and pretending otherwise is just wasting everyone's time.

Category One: The German/Japanese "Built-Like-A-Tank" Options
Brands like WEBER (been around since 1956, apparently their stuff is "built like a tank" and "not going to wear out") and DEPRAG (1931, German,模块化 design, beloved by car manufacturers) are the gold standard. If you have unlimited budget and your production line absolutely cannot afford a single hiccup, these are your guys. The torque precision is insane, the reliability is legendary, and the price tag? Let's just say you could buy a decent used car for what one of these costs. And heaven help you when something does need maintenance—good luck finding a service tech who doesn't charge you in gold bars.
Category Two: The Domestic "Good-Enough-For-90%-Of-Us" Options
This is where things get interesting—and chaotic. Brands like XinHua Intelligent, SuDizhi , HuaRuiKe , Jianfeng keep popping up in the so-called "Top 10" lists. Some of them are genuinely solid. XinHua, for example, claims ±0.015mm repeat positioning accuracy and a defect rate below 0.1%. That's impressive on paper. They've also worked with names like BYD, CATL, and Huawei—which means either they're legit, or they have a really good marketing department. SuDizhi has been at it for 14 years with over 1,000 clients. HuaRuiKe focuses on precision torque control within ±3% and has served Midea and Gree.
But here's the catch that all those glossy "recommendation guides" conveniently skip: domestic brands are not created equal. You've got established players with real R&D teams and proper quality control, and then you've got the guy operating out of a garage who'll sell you a machine for half the price and disappear when it starts spitting screws everywhere on day three.
So what's the move?
Here's my honest, slightly cynical advice from someone who's watched procurement guys lose sleep over this:
First, forget the brand name and look at the application. Are you screwing tiny M0.8 phone screws or chunky M6 automotive bolts? Different machines, different makers. A brand that's great for 3C electronics might be useless for automotive parts.
Second, ask about their service network. This is where the fancy German brands can actually lose—if they don't have a local tech within driving distance, you're cooked when something goes wrong. Some domestic brands like MaoWei have set up regional offices precisely for this reason.
Third, demand references. Any reputable supplier should be able to point you to existing customers in your industry. If they can't, run.
Fourth—and this is the part that'll make you sound like you know what you're doing—test the damn thing before you buy. Most decent domestic manufacturers will let you send them samples for free testing. If they won't, that's a red flag the size of a billboard.
My bottom line: For most mid-sized manufacturers in China, a domestic brand like XinHua Intelligent or SuDizhi will give you 85% of the performance at 50-60% of the import price. The key is picking the right one for your specific needs, not the one with the fanciest website. And please, for the love of all that is holy, don't just pick whatever pops up first on Baidu—that's how you end up with a machine that's basically a very expensive paperweight.
Remember: the best brand is the one that actually shows up when you call for help. Everything else is just marketing fluff.
